Release Time & Release Calendar
Procurement specialists look for ways to shape their procurement and iPlanner is a part of that strategy. Procurement planning has been further enhanced by the introduction of two new sourcing policies; Release Days and Release Calendar. The policies enable controlling when a procurement order can be released in relation to the demand and the ability to specify the certain time periods when orders can only be released. As a bonus it provides a solution to the parental procurement challenge to ensure that any procurement requests for sweets are assigned a mandatory wait period of at least X days and then only released if it falls on a Saturday. Apparently, it is a Swedish concept called “Lördagsgodis” [Saturday Candy].
