Company Overview

InSync was founded in 2004 with the vision to deliver innovative, intuitive and implementable supply chain solutions. We are a global software company that provides enterprise applications to manufacturers and distributors in consumer goods, Hi-Tech, steel, semiconductor and other supply-chain intensive industries. Headquartered in San Francisco Bay Area, CA, InSync is a privately held company.

InSync released iPlanner 1.0 in 2005. Building on our extensive experience with large global supply chains, InSync developed an application meeting the complex requirements of Fortune 500 companies that is also implementable at small companies. The result is that with iPlanner, InSync has enabled world-class business processes for both Fortune 500 as well as small-medium businesses. We help companies improve their business processes and implement solutions that enable them to make better decisions that result in lean, flexible, and cohesive supply chains.

We leverage a proven approach to technology and delivery. Our global organization brings domain expertise in leading practices in supply chain management, advanced production planning and optimization, sourcing and fulfillment management, and lean manufacturing. We have a passion for applying technology to simplify and address complex challenges, and our team members have more than 10 years of experience in enterprise software, supply chain management and business intelligence.

Founder, CEO

Ram Thota

Ram founded InSync in 2004 with a vision of delivering business applications which are Intuitive, Innovative and Implementable. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer with active participation in product direction. His experience from working intricately with both the technology and business process side gives him a unique perspective on how to best apply technology to solve real business challenges in a ground-breaking way.

Before InSync, Ram worked in the supply chain industry for 12 years with instrumental roles in supply chain transformational projects at companies such as Dell, IBM and Toshiba. He has global experience working with clients in Asia, Europe and America. Ram received his Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.

Founder, Delivery

Kristian Aspelin

Kristian is a co-founder and is responsible for delivery and customer satisfaction. In this role, he works closely with InSync’s customers to ensure the highest quality in the areas of implementation services, training and customer support. Kristian has extensive experience as a designer, implementer and user of supply chain systems from prior jobs with Apple Computers, i2 Technologies, FedEx and SeeCommerce. Kristian enjoys playing squash and golf. He holds a Master’s degree in Management Information systems from the University of Arizona.
