This quarter, we put the “work” in workbenches, the “run” in running, and the “queue” in… well, queuing! Our team has been in full sprint mode, fine-tuning application to keep everything moving smoothly. Whether it’s optimizing workflows or refining processes, we’re ensuring that tasks and orders don’t just sit around waiting—they get where they need to go, order are planned faster and smarter. The team was so efficient that that they decided to introduce functionality to make sure orders are not getting an illegal headstart…
New Workbench Type – Generic Panel
Introducing a new type of workbench called Generic Panel. The generic panel WB type can be used to filter data through selected IDM values. This can be used in combination with other workbenches to filter data through selections made in the generic panel. What does that mean in plain words. By introducing this workbench type, it is easier than ever to create workbenches and workflows aligned with the unique business processes within organizations provide user overview perspective, easy/quick drilldowns and navigation. Each organizations is unique so we feel strongly that solutions should be flexible and align and support company processes/workflows and not the other way around…. Hope you enjoy it.

ControlSet UI workbench introduces a dynamic and efficient way to manage multiple workbenches within a unified interface. Designed for enhanced usability, ControlSet allows users to display multiple workbenches either side by side for simultaneous interaction or one at a time for a focused experience. This flexible structure enables seamless navigation between workbenches, optimizing workflow efficiency while maintaining a clean and organized interface. Whether working across different frameworks or requiring quick transitions, ControlSet provides a centralized workspace that adapts to user preferences and operational needs. Its intuitive design ensures smooth transitions, making multitasking more streamlined and productive.

Rapid task execution (RTE) is an incremental enhancement to the embedded Quick Job Execution (QJE) that introduce the support to run individual tasks from any workbench via the Executable Job List option.

Sometimes we need to provide some additional context or direction when asking a task to be completed. Introducing support for procedure type for Integration tasks that take user inputs as parameters. These user inputs can either be added manually ad-hoc or taken through the context of defined fields.

The latest planning enhancement extends the existing Earliest Start Date functionality beyond proposed orders to now include firm orders, improving scheduling accuracy and operational efficiency. Previously, the functionality limited users to setting constraints on proposed orders, ensuring that planned activities would not commence before a predefined start date. With this enhancement, firm orders—those that have been confirmed and committed—can now also leverage this restriction, providing greater control over execution timing and resource allocation. This update helps optimize production flows, reduce scheduling conflicts, and align firm orders with strategic planning constraints, ultimately enabling more predictable and reliable fulfillment processes.
Technical Improvements
tGrid Improvements
Incremental improvements to the tGrid components include bookmarks, preferences. The tGrid component now supports having bookmarks and preferences. With preferences users can save a default IDO filter or/and a Bookmark as their default view for a workbench.
Tooltip to display row and column context when hovered over data cell value.
Queuing functionality for Event based Schedules
We have all seen how structure can be helpful. Without rules and structure lining up at a concert or a store result in chaos. We added queuing functionality to event based schedules to provide some structure and ability to control flow while retaining flexibility in event driven schedules.
Associate Policy with Transform
Streamlining the way Transforms can be associated to specific defined policies removes ambiguity and provide more flexibility and control to how policies impact plan results.
Transaction Groupings
Transaction data grouping in plan definitions organizes operational transactions into structured categories, ensuring clarity and efficiency in data management. This approach enables users to define a group of transaction measures to be used instead of a single measure facilitating a more streamlined plan definition, management and analysis.
Browser Tab to display Workbench Name
Generally society like to discourage us from sticking label on things, but at the same time the “Hello my name is ….” label sticker can be helpful at events. We realized that providing a business friendly label on browser tab might provide a gentle reminder of what you are looking at. (As far as the “Hello Sticker” , some of you might have had a similar experience; Forgotten to remove the sticker at the end of the event, only to be reminded later by the stickers presence, when out of the blue a stranger greets us by our name….)
